Young circus stars learn acting, improv, and dance – all while flying in the air!

2018 Dates

Session 1: June 11 – July 6

No camp July 4th.

Session 2: July 9 – August 3
Mon-Fri 9 AM – 4 PM

A summer day camp for young people aged 9-15, The Actors Gymnasium Circus and Performing Arts Camp is perfect for young performers who want to strengthen, stretch and flex their creative muscles.

Each day begins with a warm-up, followed by training and workshops in circus, drama, and movement. Students learn circus and aerial skills: juggling, tumbling, trapeze, tightwire, stilts, and more; take fun-filled field trips; and create and perform their very own circus-theatre performance at the end of the session!  Camp is directed by Sylvia Hernandez-DiStasi.

Registration and pricing information for our 2018 camp session will be available soon.

“Kids who started the summer with no confidence or experience [were] transformed by the time of the camp show into beaming performers.” – Peggy N.

Parents can coordinate carpooling and other needs through this Facebook group.

A special note about scheduling:

The last two days of each camp session are performance days, and each camper will be assigned to one 3:00-4:00 pm performance and one 6:00-7:00 pm performance. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate requests to perform in a specific time slot. Families planning summer travels are asked to plan trips with the understanding that their camper may be in an evening performance on either the Thursday or Friday of the last week of camp. Missing a performance is allowed but not encouraged, since performing is a big part of the camp experience. Check out our Class Policies and F.A.Q. page for more information.
