Camps unlike any others.
Young circus stars learn acting, improv, and dance – all while flying in the air!
Every year, almost 200 kids run away with the circus at our summer and Winter camps.
Of the dozens of programs we offer to kids each year, our camps stand out as the most immersive and popular of them all.
The experience, kids tell us, is nothing short of transformational.
It’s perfect for young performers who want to strengthen, stretch and flex their creative muscles.
Each day begins with a warm-up, followed by training and workshops in circus, drama, and movement. Students learn circus and aerial skills: juggling, tumbling, trapeze, tightwire, stilts, and more, and there’s no experience necessary to join.
Camps are directed by our Artistic Director and Co-Founder, Sylvia Hernandez-DiStasi.
Winter Camp ❄️
January 2 – 4, 2019
9 AM – 4 PM
$75/day. Register for just one day, or up to all three! For 3rd grade and up. Campers should bring their lunch and any snacks they would like.
Summer Camp ☀️
June 10 – July 5
July 8 – August 2
9 AM – 4 PM , Monday through Friday.
Like our winter camp, summer camp at the Actors Gym consists of a wide range of circus/theatre activities. Additionally, kids get to participate in field trips on Fridays to the beach, a water park, and more!
The four-week experience culminates in a fully produced, original show featuring all the skills campers have learned during the session. We bring in professional designers to help the kids bring their creativity to life through a show they will never forget!
Summer camp is for 4th grade and up, and it is also directed by our Artistic Director and Co-Founder, Sylvia Hernandez-DiStasi.
Summer Camp Registration
Tuition is $1400 for the full, four week session.
Campers can enroll in the first one or two weeks and receive a pro-rated tuition rate, or register for all four. Register before February 1 to get 5% off four weeks!
Families have a choice of paying in full at the time of registration or purchasing a 4 month payment plan.
We do not, unfortunately. Drop off starts at 8:45 AM, and we ask parents/guardians to pick up their child when camp lets out at 4 PM.
Nope! We welcome beginners and experienced circus artists alike.
Yes! There’s an option to identify a friend in camp when filling out the emergency info form.
Parents can coordinate carpooling and other needs through this Facebook group.
Families planning summer travels are asked to plan trips with the understanding that their camper may be in an evening performance on either the Thursday or Friday of the last week of camp. Missing a performance is allowed but not encouraged, since performing is a big part of the camp experience.
We unfortunately are unable to offer refunds.
