A Summer Camp unlike any other in Evanston.
Young circus stars learn acting, improv, and dance – all while flying in the air!
An Unforgettable Experience
Every year, almost 200 kids run away with the circus at our summer and winter camps.
Of the dozens of programs we offer to kids each year, our camps stand out as the most immersive and popular of them all. They’re perfect for young performers who want to strengthen, stretch and flex their creative muscles.
The experience, kids tell us, is nothing short of transformational.
Each day begins with a warm-up, followed by training and workshops in circus, drama, and movement. Students learn circus and aerial skills: juggling, tumbling, trapeze, tightwire, stilts, and more, and there’s no experience necessary to join!
Additionally, kids get to participate in field trips on Fridays to the beach, a water park, and more!
Perform in a show!
The four-week experience culminates in a fully produced, original show featuring all the skills campers have learned during the session. We bring in professional designers to help the kids bring their creativity to life through a show they will never forget!
Summer camp is directed by Sylvia Hernandez-DiStasi, our Artistic Director and second generation circus performer who grew up touring with various circuses, including Ringling Bros and Barnum & Bailey.
In 2019, she and her family, The Hernandez Troupe, were inducted into the Circus Ring of Fame for their monumental contributions to the world of circus.
